10a Bible Study with Pastor Shane in the gym
As the leaves begin to change and there seems to be a bite in the air, it becomes very obvious that we are in a another season. The month of November conjures up many thoughts, but the biggest emphasis this time of year seems to be that of thanksgiving. A time to reflect on just how blessed we really are. We don’t have to look far to see how fortunate we are. We live in a country where we can openly and freely worship. We are part of a loving church family, but above all of this we have a Savior that loves us and has adopted us, if we choose, as a part of His family. This we should give thanksgiving for daily.
Being a part of the family allows us the opportunity to minister to others. We have several opportunities to show Christ’s love to others. One is working at the food pantry. We do this the second Thursday of every month from 8 am until noon. It’s a great feeling working with a group of believers to meet the needs of our community. Thanksgiving day gives us another opportunity to serve. We will be preparing and serving Thanksgiving dinner, Thanksgiving day, to those that can’t be with family that day. This includes first responders, transients, or members of our church family. We need people to assist in preparing the meals Wednesday night and servers for Thursday. Come and be a part of these opportunity.
No one should dine alone Thanksgiving Day.
Psalms 136:1 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.
