WHY?

Following Jesus is not an easy task. The world pulls us in many directions, and we have different things that distract us from following Jesus and fulfilling the Great Commission. Being a parent is also difficult. It always has been and will continue to be that way, especially in the world we live in. However, as parents, you need to have the realization that YOU must be the first disciple maker in your children’s lives. Whether you realize it or not, our children are being discipled by someone or something. Education, sports, social media, … this list goes on of things that are discipling your children. The question is, are you on the list of things discipling your children? Hopefully you are trying to but it can be very difficult with everything else we have going on.

What?

With Parent D-Now, we want to come alongside and partner with you to help make discipleship in the home a reality. We are hosting a 2-day event, August 16-17, 2024 at Belden Baptist Church in Tupelo, MS, to help give you some tools to start intentionally discipling your children in your home. Every year, most student ministries participate in a Disciple Now weekend to help give students a boost in their own spiritual walk and we have realized that parents need that too. This event is for parents, no matter how old their kids are! Our children are never too young or too old for us to start discipling them. The impact that you make in your child’s life could forever change their world. Study have shown that 77% of Christians followed Jesus by the age of 18. However, 66% of all teenagers leave the church after high school graduation and never return. What key element is missing? Discipleship! Students get saved but never mature in their relationship with the Lord. This is where it is so important for parents to disciple. The focus of the entire weekend is for you to not be a consumer of all things God, but a distributer of Him and it starts in your home. Register with the link below!
